Blood Bank of Hawaii
The Blood Bank of Hawaii headquarters, aka Young Street Donor Center, was originally constructed in 2011. As a primary blood collection and supply facility for the State, this 3-story precast concrete structure is equipped with a 60kW emergency generator system to support 24/7 supply operations to Hawaii’s patients. In 2018, Allied Builders completed an important renovation—creation of new laboratory space. Careful planning and supervision of construction activities were critical to prevent disruption of operations for this life-saving organization.
