Diagnostic Laboratory Services

Completed in just nine months, this ambitious renovation was an adaptive re-use of an existing warehouse, to create a new home for Hawaii’s largest locally owned clinical testing laboratory. The tall slab-to-deck height allowed for a third floor to be created within the building shell.  As a result, the total interior floor area was increased by 32,000sf, creating much desired additional office and specialty laboratory spaces for the Owner.  Effective value engineering by the entire team, resulted in the project meeting its required budget and scheduling objectives successfully. A 1000kw back-up generator and 20,000sf of photovoltaic panels were part of the comprehensive MEP upgrade.
